Jared Cohen

PRESIDENT AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

As a seasoned systems engineer, architect, and strategic management consultant with sixteen years of experience dealing with information security as it relates to the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, U.S. Federal Agencies, and Commercial Industries. He has performed a broad range systems engineering and strategy consulting support in the Information Technology and Assurance arena with a concentration on issues concerning the development of the Global Information Operating Environments, IT Efficiencies strategies and technologies, and various information sharing Architectures, Enterprise Level Operational Capabilities, Mission Management, Cyber Defense, and other operating and implementation models and capabilities. Before consolidating firms with Nine Points Solutions (formally Responsive Consulting Services), Mr. Cohen worked at other well respected consulting and technology firms, such as Booz Allen Hamilton, The Windermere Group/Windermere Information Technology Systems, and SPARTA, Inc. He has a B.S. In Computer and Information Systems from Towson University.

Andrea Westerinen

CHIEF ARCHITECT

As a seasoned systems architect, and software engineer, Ms. Westerinen specializes in ontology development and knowledge engineering, and has extensive software development and integration experience. She has strong interests in solution development, policy-based management, and semantic technologies, across commercial and government sectors. Before joining Nine Points Solutions, she has worked in the computer industry since 1979, at firms such as SAIC, CA Technologies, Microsoft, Cisco, Intel, and IBM. She held the positions of Senior Technical Expert at SAIC, Distinguished Engineer at CA Technologies, and Principal Architect at Microsoft. Ms. Westerinen has been focused on policy-based management for more than 13 years. During that time, she has was invited to deliver the keynote address at the IEEE 2003 Policy Conference published several technical articles, and participated in IETF Internet-Drafts on this subject. She has been a teammate and team leader in many network storage and systems, management standards organizations, such as being the Technical Director for the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) and Vice President of Technology for the Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF). Currently, she is an active subject matter expert and participant for the International Association for Ontology and its Applications (IAOA) and their upcoming Ontology Summit scheduled in 2014. She has a B.S. in Physics and Mathematics from Marquette University and an M.S. in Computer Science from Nova Southeastern University. Andrea is also the author of the Organizing Knowledge blog on ontologies and the Semantic web.

Nick Selimis

SENIOR PRINCIPAL ENGINEER

As a seasoned systems engineer, ISSO, ISSE, cyber security profession with over 20 years of experience dealing with information security as it relates to the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Mr. Selimis has extensive ISSO and ISSE professional experience developing, engineering, integrating, penetration testing, evaluating/reengineering, and operating complex global enterprise class information sharing and cyber defense solutions. Mr. Selimis has performed a broad range of Cyber and Information Assurance Support with a concentration on Cross Domain Solutions, System Development, Penetration testing, Information Sharing, Mission Management, Global Information Grid, IC ITE, and other operating and implementation models. Mr. Selimis is considered an expert in DoD Cross Domain systems development and has participated, managed, and lead multi million-dollar software development efforts, from requirements to integration. Before coming to Nine Points Solutions, Mr. Selimis has been a technical and technical team leader for many well respected consulting and technology firms, such as Booz Allen Hamilton, The Windermere Group/Windermere Information Technology Systems, Essex Corporation, and Northrup Grumman. B.S. in Electrical Engineering a Minor in Engineering Leadership Development from Penn State University, State College.

Julie Schott

SENIOR PRINCIPAL ENGINEER

With over 30 years of experience, Ms. Schott specializes in designing, developing, and deploying multi-tier software systems in various Commercial Industries experience. Ms. Schott has worked in the Storage, Networking, Test Equipment, PC, and Health Care software sectors prior to joining the Nine Points Solutions team. With strong communication skills, extensive technical education and instruction support, generating and providing technical presentations, writing, and customer interface documentation, Ms. Schott has worked at and led teams within industry leading hardware and software firms such as Hewlett-Packard, Fujitsu, Maxtor, LSI Logic, Cisco, and AllScripts. Specific areas of concentration include ontology/taxonomy, XML and object-oriented model development, and project and vendor management. Ms. Schott is passionate about delivering performant solutions based upon Model Driven Architecture and Model Driven Development. Ms. Schott has a B.S. in Computer Science from Iowa State University.
